Sovereign Health Care have extended their sponsorship of the Priestley Cup and Shield competitions for a 17th season. Sovereign Health Care chief executive Russ Piper said: “As a cricket fan I am delighted to continue our association with the competitions. “I have seen three Priestley Cup finals and appreciate just what the competition means to the clubs.” Keith Moss, president of the JCT600 Bradford League, said: “It is quite exceptional for a league like ours to have a sponsor who has supported us for so loyally for 17 years. “During that time we have built up a fine working relationship and we are immensely grateful to Sovereign Health Care. “The Priestley Cup and Shield are special competitions and Sovereign Health Care have been a key part of their success.” It was also confirmed today that the guest of honour at this year’s final at Spen Victoria will be the new MCC president Philip Hodson who comes from Wakefield. “I am delighted that he has accepted our invitation,” said Moss. “It is another feather in the league’s cap.” |
