The Management Board has postponed all this weekend’s fixtures due to the exceptional wet weather.
The decision was made at an emergency meeting of the Management Board this evening where board member reported back from inspections of 16 of the league’s 25 grounds.
Chief Executive David Young said: “This has been a very difficult decision to make and I would like to thank members of the board for their hard work in coming to a conclusion that allows us all to play cricket..
“Saturday’s fixture programme has been re scheduled for Sunday, September 9 and we will hopefully reschedule the representative game against the WDCU for an alternative date.
“Sunday’s fixtures for Division Two will now be rescheduled for Sunday, July 8. This means that alternative options for the Twenty/20 semi- finals will come into play. I will communicate these out separately.
“We will also need to find an alternative date for Cleckheaton v Spen Victoria second team game that had already been rescheduled for this date. We will contact the clubs concerned shortly.”
