Sovereign Health Care Priestley Cup final venue switched |
Posted:July 13, 2007 |
The venue for the 2007 Sovereign Health Care Priestley Cup final - which will now be played on Sunday, August 26 - has had to be switched.
Pudsey Congs will now host the match instead of Bradford & Bingley who are unable to accommodate the change of date which became necessary when rain led to the third round ties being put back two weeks to July 15 and and the semi-finals being rescheduled for August 12 - the date originally designated for the final at Wagon Lane.
The switch of venues was agreed at Thursday's meeting of the Management Board and means that Congs will be staging their second cup finals - the first was in 2004 when they defeated Woodlands.
A venue for the Sovereign Health Care Priestley Shield final on September 9 will be made after the semi-finalists are known.
The draw for the semi-finals of the cup and shield will be made at Pudsey Congs this Sunday at around 8pm
