1 Present: Keith Moss (President), Graham Reid (Chairman), Bob Shackleton (Chief Executive), Steve Raistrick (Secretary), Alan Birkinshaw  (Media and Marketing), Babar Butt (Players’ Representative), Rodney Heyhoe (Club Representative), Mick Illingworth (Club Representative), Glyn Pearson (Umpires’ Representative) and Richard Whitehurst (Players’ Representative).

4 Matters Arising
Brighouse 2nds v Bradford & Bingley 2nds: Received a reply on July 6 stating that the date of fixture is now Sunday, August 12 at Bradford & Bingley.

Charity Match: JCT 600 Bradford League won. Huddersfield League 92, Bradford League 93-6.

Michael Hope: Out of hospital after a second operation.

Suspect bowling action report: Manningham Mills to be asked why they haven’t responded to the Board’s letter.

Assessment Sheets: In the last week two more penalties Undercliffe 1st XI and Pudsey St Lawrence 2nds.

Quaid-E Azam League: They will be informed of the new cup final dates to ensure no clubs are playng matches on Bradford League grounds on those days.

5 Accounts: No payments to be approved.

6 Correspondence
Club affiliation to ECB: General letter from Yorkshire Cricket Board.

Grant Aid:
YCA has an amount of money for Grant Aid up to a maximum of £250 per for any affiliated club that requires assistance with emergency repairs, vandalism and tools.

Cricket Oscars:
Inaugural awards in September Nominations wanted by YCB. Put on agenda for next meeting

Solly Sports: Requested doing a ball deal with the league. Board to take no action.

Hanging Heaton: The club have put in a request to stage the Sovereign Health Care Priestley Shield final

Baildon:  Apology over Jonathan Reynolds withdrawal from White Rose side.
Board to formulate a new rule to prevent players playing for their clubs on the same day if they decline selection to a league representative side.

Gomersal protest under rule 10 re result of game with Great Horton on June 3.  
The Board thank Gomersal for their constructive letter but the result of the game must stand. The protest fee of £10 to be returned. Umpires Association advised accordingly.

Bradford & Bingley: Request for student Henry Haslam to play after returning from Oxford University. Approval given

Baildon: Request for Scott Bent available again after injury to play in the Priestley Cup. Request approved.

Morley: Request for Chris Taylor and David Nebard to play in the second half of the season having not previously played a league game this season because of injury. Nebard granted permission Taylor rejected.

Bowling Old Lane:  Request for Naheem Ashraf to play in the Priestley Cup. Request rejected as he did not play in a league game before the second round.

Saltaire: Applied again for Massood Asam Butt to play in Sovereign HealthCare Priestley Cup.
Permission refused. Request rejected as he did not play in a league game before the second round.

Simon Hicks: Querying transfer of Mohammad Asif Hussain of Manningham Mills.
The Board has investigated all areas of this issue and considers the matter closed.

Glyn Pearson: Proposal for rules revision were submitted which will be studied at the next meeting.

7 Sovereign HealthCare Priestley Cup and Shield finals
Change of dates for competitions made on June 30. Third round now July 15, semi-finals August 12, Priestley Cup final August 26, Shield final September 9.
Priestley Cup final venue: Bradford & Bingley cannot stage the final on the new date of August 26. Pudsey Congs will now stage it.

Defer decision on final venue until we know who semi-finalists are

8 Norwood Green 
Board officials meeting with Norwood Green on Tuesday, July 17regarding progress on the objectives set regarding security of tenure and building work.

9 Manningham Mills
Steve Raistrick and David Young visited re issues regarding metal and broken glass. Letter sent on July 2 requesting a number of urgent actions. They were asked to reply within seven days but failed to do so. Secretary to write again and a ground inspection will be carried out at their next home game on July 21.

10 Facilities Marking
Rodney Heyhoe submitted a written report outlining dates of visits who inspected and actions required. Board members asked to carry out inspections when visiting matches.

11 Umpires
 Two matches with only one umpire last weekend. Only 20 games this season with only one umpire this season compared with 86 at the same stage last season. David Wilson and David Godbold officiating at Priestley Cup final, Malcolm Allitt and Tom Priestley taking charge of the Shield final.
