| Three new rules approved at 106th Annual General Meeting Three new rules were approved at the Annual General Meeting. The Management Board were given approval to set the rules for the Sovereign Health Care Priestley Cup and Shield and notify them to the club before the start of the season. They were given similar powers to agree the method for transmitting match results. The other rule change to win approval was one which varies the number of overs which can be lost from 50 to 60 before a match cannot commence. | Guidance on the new rules for Managed Migration All clubs wanting to engage an overseas player for 2009 need to study the new guidance produced by the Yorkshire Cricket Board. The New points-based system requires clubs to obtain a 'sponsor licence' in order to bring over players and coaches from outside the EU into this country to work and this licence is obtained from the UK Borders Agency.
