HW8 Umpires

A The Umpires Secretary shall appoint umpires for all matches. They shall be paid a fee/ and or expenses, by the home side at the conclusion of each day that they are in attendance to the following scale:

1 £24 including travel expenses when play is completed on the scheduled day.

2 £12 including travelling expenses when a tie is incomplete on the scheduled date with an additional £12 on completion plus travelling expenses for each additional day in attendance.

3 £5 including travelling expenses when a tie is not started on the scheduled date with an additional £18 on completion plus travelling expenses for each additional day in attendance. Should a substitute umpire officiate for all or any part of a tie, he/she shall be entitled to any of the above appropriate fee(s). If an appointed umpire is required to officiate without a colleague in any tie, he/she shall receive one and a half times the fee(s) shown above. For the purpose of the rule travelling expenses shall be deemed to be second class rail fare, bus fare or other reasonable costs.

B The away side shall contribute their part of the above fees and expenses, if appropriate, to the home side as required by Rule HW5(i) at the conclusion of the tie.

HW9 Complaints, Objections and Disciplinary Matters

A Any complain or objection shall be notified to the secretary, with copies to the contact of the club and / or individuals concerned within 48 hours of the completion of the match. A deposit of £10 shall be sent with the notice to the secretary and shall be forfeited if the Management considers the matter to be frivolous.

B Any disciplinary matter shall be referred for consideration and any action to a Competition Disciplinary Panel, consisting of a minimum of five Management members and conducted under YCB rules.
