Huddersfield Leaguers Shelley will be aiming to claim their fourth Bradford League scalp in this season's competition when they face Keighley in Monday's Crowther Cup final at Morley (noon). So far they have defeated Idle, Gomersal and Spen Victoria on a route to the final which also included wins over Buttershaw St Paul's and their near neighbours Skelmanthorpe in the semi-finals.
After a first round bye, Keighley defeated Featherstone on a bowl out before seeing off Wrenthorpe, Birstall and Woodlands.
Shelley have been the competition's top scorers topping 200 in every round, while Keighley have specialised in winning close encounters.
The men who have been piling up the sruns for Shelley have been Dave Greaves and Gary Eastwood. Eastwood has hit three-half-centuries in the competition, 93 against Gomersal, 83 v Spen Victoria and 61 against Buttershaw St Paul's. Greaves has made two half-centuries, 97 in the win over Buttershaw St Paul's in round one and 58 in the quarter-final victory over Spen Victoria.
Keighley also have some experienced rungetters. Andy Waggett made 99 in the third-round win over Wrenthorpe, while Alan Broadley made 83 in the sem-final triumph over Woodlands. He also made 60 against Birstall in the previous round.
