It's Barnsley v Woodlands in Crowther Cup final

Holders Barnsley will face Woodlands in this season's Solly Sports Crowther Cup final at Hanging Heaton on Monday, August 31.

Barnsley defeated Townville by three wickets and Woodlands beat Hanging Heaton by a similar margin with just two balls to spare.

Andy Whitaker (57) and Tom Wakefield (46no) steered Barnsley past the Townville score of 169 all out. Jack Hughes top scored for Townville with 59.

Barnsley, who also won the trophy in 2005 and 2006, will be striving to avenge the defeat Woodlands inflicted on them in a first round bowl out in 2007.

Skipper Phil Walker (51) and Stephen Pearson (46no) spearheaded Woodlands successful pursuit of Hanging Heaton's total of 238-8. Chris Goodair (54no), Umar Rehman (48), Andrew Nettleton (35no) and Nafeez Hafeez (34) were the main contributors for Hanging Heaton while Greig Godfrey (4-37) was the most successful Woodlands bowler.
