Division One
Cleckheaton ended Baildon's eight-match winning streak by scoring a thrilling two-run win over the league leaders.
Baildon needed seven runs to win from the final over to pass Cleckheaton's score of 180 all out after being revived by a ninth-wicket stand of 48 between Ahsan Butt (56no) and Mushtaq Ahmed (30).
But there was to be no happy ending for Baildon. Ian Wardlaw held his nerve and made sure that his team claimed a dramatic win. His final six balls yielded just four runs and he also claimed the wicket of Mushtaq.
Ian Philliskirk (36) and Jonny Reynolds (33) were the other main contributors for Baildon while leg spinner Tom Pringle was their most successful Cleckheaton bowler with three for 53.
Skipper John Wood (48) and new overseas player Asif Khan (36) were the top scorers in Cleckheaton's total of 180 all out, while Mushtaq Ahmed (3-28) and Andy Walker (3-51) were the main bowlers for Baildon.
Baildon's lead has been cut to 11 points by Bradford & Bingley who beat third-placed East Bierley by 40 runs.
Experienced campaigner Richard McCarthy (4-32) was the main beneficiary of some reckless East Bierley batting as the home side were dismissed for 131 in reply to Bradford & Bingley's total of 171 all out. Seven players reached double figures but nobody went on to make a decisive contribution.
Skipper Phil Slater made a robust 47 for Bradford & Bingley but once he departed the rest of the batting failed to make its mark as spinners Luke Jarvis (3-36) and Kez Ahmed (3-68) went to work.
East Bierley are now 13 points adrift of Bradford & Bingley with Pudsey St Lawrence just two points behind them after inflicting a fifth defeat of the season on champions Woodlands. St Lawrence triumphed by five wickets.
Gareth Clough (62no), Kassir Maroof (47) and Alex Stead (41) helped St Lawrence overhaul a Woodlands score of 239-7 which was far bigger than seemed likely until Pieter Swanepoel (83no) and Safraz Ahmed (43no) launched a late onslaught.
Farsley's Jamaican all-rounder Lorenzo Inghram produced the bowling performance of the day. Inghram took eight for 43 with his left-arm spin as his side inflicted a ninth-successive defeat on Hanging Heaton.
Hanging Heaton, despite 40 from Amar Rashid, were dismissed for 128 to lose by 47 runs. Farsley made 175-9 batting first with Shabbir Rashid making 38 and skipper David Syers (37no). Former Farsley player Mark Lawson took four for 42 with his leg spin, while Mohammad Sharafat took four for 45.
Skipper Matthew Doidge hit and unbeaten 52 as Pudsey Congs ended their run of five game without a win by beating Gomersal by three wickets.
Doidge, Uzair Mahomed (33) and Babar Butt 32 steered their side home despite the determined efforts of paceman Nasser Hussain (3-43) and left-arm spinner Ben Platt (3-58) to defend a total of 215-7. Shahzaib Khan (58) and Richard Gould (39) were the top scorers for Gomersal.
Manningham Mills slipped deeper into relegation trouble when they suffered an eight-wicket defeat against Yeadon. David Leather made 90 as Yeadon had little difficulty reaching their victory target after bowling Mills for 142. Fawad Maqsood (64) was the only batsman to make his mark while off spinner Grant Soames picked up three for 36 for Yeadon.
Division Two
Brighouse ended their long wait for a league win by securing a last-ball triumph over Spen Victoria.
They past Spen's score of 227-6 by taking two runs from the final ball of the match to spark scenes of celebration.
Dan Dunkerley (67), skipper Paul Cummins (46), Matt Senior (35) and Amjid Tariq (30) all made important contributions in the successful run chase. Matthew Speck (52), Mohammad Maroof (50) and Matt West (39no) were the main contributors for Spen while Kamran Khan (3-44) was the best of the Brighouse bowlers.
Leaders Bankfoot continue to set the pace. They picked up a maximum 20 points as they beat idle by 111 runs. Edward Walmsley had a fine all-round game making 67 not out and taking four for 30 for Bankfoot. His runs and 97 from South African Greg Fotheringham, enabled Bankfoot to reach 225-4 before bowling out Idle for 111. Walmsley's twin brother Marcus took three for 17.
Bankfoot's two closest challengers, Windhill and Undercliffe, also collected maximum points against Keighley and Lightcliffe respectively. Sadaqat Zaman was Windhill's match-winner taking six for 29 as Keighley were bowled out for 136 in reply to Windhill's impressive 282-6.
Luke Holroyd (70), Neil Johnson (57), Mohammad Altaf (49) and Faisal Hussain (43) all made valuable contributions for Windhill who remain 20 points adrift of Bankfoot.
Left-arm spinner Chris Greenwood turned in another performance for Undercliffe, taking five for 16 as they dismissed Lightcliffe for 151 to secure a 91-run win. Rick Powe (37) and Simon Black (33) were the top scorers for Lightcliffe. Undercliffe's score of 242-5 was built on the fine contributions of overseas player Nawaz Sardar 65, Mark Gilliver 63, Ben Heritage (50) and Liam Brearley (45)
Bowling Old Lane have slid almost unnoticed into fourth place. They defeated Hartshead Moor by seven wickets - a success which was set up by Zubair Najeeb who took four for 14 as Hartshead Moor were bowled out for 142. Australian Lachlan Hall top scored with 46. Hameed Usman (62) and Raqeeb Younis (34) sped Old Lane to their victory target.
Opening bowlers James Russell (5-30) and Nathan Bromby (4-33) bowled out Great Horton for 84 to secure a welcome 88-run win for Morley. Adam Larkin (64) and Michael Cooper (38) had helped Morley to make 172 all out. Ijaz Ahmed (4-21) and Raheel Ahmed (4-41) provided some joy for Great Horton who have now lost all 10 matches this season.
