The JCT 600 Bradford League Umpires Association are looking for candidates to join their new year training course which starts on Sunday, January 20.

It is being held at Spen Victoria and will run for six weeks between 10am and noon. Umpires Association chairman Glyn Pearson, pictured, is hoping for a good response.

He said: "Last year we managed to boost our numbers but we still need more because there are still games which only have one official during the season.

"I would appeal to any former player or cricket enthusiast to give umpiring a try. New recruits are always welcome."
