Clubs who would like to stage the 125th anniversary Heavy Woollen Cup final on August 3 are being asked to make a full application to the Management Committee.
This year's final will include a gathering of former winning captains with up to 50 expected to be invited to tea at the final.
This will mean that the host club will have to cater for the former captains plus the two competing teams, umpires, scorers and up to 60 guests.
Competition president Dave Sharp said: "We want this to be a showpiece occasion and we want to know how the clubs who would like to host the game would plan to manage the event.
"We believe it is important that they understand the size of the challenge facing them and provide us evidence of how they will help make this year's final a special event."
Clubs who would like to stage the final should submit their plans for staging the game to the competition secretary Lesley Robinson before the next meeting of the Management Committee on May 19.
The Management Committee also want to hear from clubs who would like the honour of hosting the Crowther Cup final on Monday, August 25.
