The Bradford Junior League is seeking a new coaching officer following the decision of long-serving Alan Douglas to stand down.
Douglas, who has held the position for 15 years, revealed his decision at a meeting of the Management Committee on Thursday, October 1.
He said: "I believe it is time for a younger man to come in with enthusiasm to take on the role. It is an important job and I am convinced there are some very good coaches out there who can do the job."
The role involves overseeing the winter programme at all age groups from under-11 through to under-17, as well as working with the team-managers of the Lord's Taverners and Joe Lumb Competition sides.
Douglas added: "I have enjoyed the job, but it is definitely a role for a younger person as it does require a lot of commitment."
The Bradford Junior League is now anxious to hear from suitably qualified coaches who believe they have the skills to take on the role.
They are anxious for potential candidates to contact Bradford Junior League secretary Tom Sayer to lodge their interest in the post. They should provide a written application outlining their qualifications and the qualities they would bring to the job.
The Management Committee are anxious to make an appointment before the annual meeting at Cleckheaton on November 22.
One of the first jobs for the new coaching officer will be to supervise the winter nets which start at Carlton Bolling College on Wednesday January 9.
