Website is back with a new look and there is more to come

Posted: March 4, 2006

Welcome to the new-look JCT 600 Bradford League website. We hope you will enjoy browsing through our newly designed sections.

All of the old features have been retained, but for the first time the site now houses advertising – so vital in boosting the revenue of the league.

We thank our advertisers Rehmani Sports Agency, Solly Sports, PC Sports and Raje Sports for supporting us.

You will also see that that all of the Bradford League pages all carry the name of our title sponsors JCT 600 who are sponsoring the league for the next two years.

The Priestley Cup and Shield sections carry the new corporate logo of Sovereign Health Care who are in their 11th season of sponsorship. By clicking on the blocks in the left hand column you can access the websites of our sponsores and advertisers.

We hope the changes we have made will enable us to build on a remarkable first season which saw the site attract more than 8million hits.

We have been delighted with the following bradfordcricketleague.org has attracted and we thank all our regular visitors for being so patient over the past weekend when we had to close the site to complete the major overhaul.

You will notice that we have introduced more pictures to brighten up the site. And in the coming weeks we will be adding additional features.

These include week by week archives of all last season’s results, tables and reports and once the season starts we will be launching our full Saturday night report and results service.

JCT 600 Bradford League media and marketing officer Alan Birkinshaw said: “A lot of work has gone into redesigning the site and it enables us to start generating revenue from advertising which is a valued new income stream.

“Our webmaster Mike Baker has integrated a considerable number of photographic images into the site which we believe have greatly enhanced the presentation.

“It is our aim to continue to improve and develop the site. To do this we will be listening to the o views of our regular users.

“We believe the website has a key part to play in the future development of the league both commercially and administratively.”

Webmaster Mike Baker has asked users to remember to update their bookmarks to the new pages and refresh pages by pressing F5 on the keyboard to obtain the latest page on the server.

Clubs with websites are reminded they must update links for items such as league tables and results. All file names are now html instead of htm which means for example that if your link was ltables.htm it will be ltables.html now. The same applies for items such as results and fixtures which might be linked into a club site.
