With the new season fast approaching the media spotlight has turned sharply onto the JCT 600 Bradford League.
On Saturday, the Telegraph & Argus cricket reporters Bill Marshall and Mike Crowther produced an in-depth guide to all the close season transfers as well as looking at the prospect for the new campaign.
On the same evening the T&A's feature writer Jim Greenhalf gave an eloquent insight into the remarkable resurgence of Bowling Old Lane and Manningham Mills.
Now the Dewsbury Reporter series is following suit. There is a two-page guide to the new cricket season written by Andrew Hunt in this week's editions of the Batley News, Dewsbury Reporter and Spenborough Guardian.
All the JCT 600 Bradford League sides in the Spen Valley, plus Hanging Heaton and Morley, get a mention. There are also previews to prospects for the Central Yorkshire and Huddersfield Central Leagues.
The Batley News is out on Thursday with the Reporter and Guardian following on Friday.
On Friday the Telegraph & Argus will be previewing the opening day's fixtures and they will have full scorecards and round ups on Monday.
Radio coverage kicks off on Sunday at 11am when Alan Douglas hosts the JCT 600 Bradford League round-up on Bradford Community Radio on 106.6FM.
This weekend will also see the return of the CEEFAX local cricket results service.
It all proves that the JCT 600 Bradford League is big news. |
