Three more JCT 600 Bradford League clubs are celebrating after being awarded the coveted Clubmark accreditation.
Bradford & Bingley, Morley and Pudsey Congs have swelled the number of clubs in the league with Clubmark to eight.
Saltaire, Pudsey St Lawrence, Keighley, Undercliffe and Farsley already held the accolade which is awarded to clubs who can demonstrate that they have established a professional management and coaching structure expected in the 21 st century .
They have to meet a number of criteria based on duty of care and child welfare, coaching and competition, sports equity and ethics and good club management.
Morley Cricket Chairman Graeme Smith said: "This represents a fitting reward for over 12 month's hard work by the Club's Junior Committee, led by Junior Chairman David Dowse.
"The club is extremely proud of the efforts of David and his team and would like to thank them publicly for all they have achieved. "
Much of the hard work of supplying the evidence to support Pudsey Congs' application was done by club secretary Steve Raistrick and Barry Wilson the junior secretary, while club cricket chairman Ralph Middlebrook has overseen the coaching and child welfare.
Bradford & Bingley's award of Clubmark follows hot on the heels of the re-opening of their indoor nets which play a key part in their junior coaching programme which has been masterminded for many years by Paul Meredith.
In the Yorkshire Cricket Board region 74 clubs have been awarded Clubmark. |
