Coaching officer Alan Douglas has urged all under-17 team managers to nominate players who they believe should be considered for selection for the Joe Lumb Competition.

Bradford's first game is on Sunday, April 29 against Halifax at East Bierley and Douglas is anxious to get the assistance of the clubs.

He said: "With the game coming so early in the season we won't have a chance to go out and watch any players in action.

"I would ask that managers only nominate boys they believe are good enough. We may be able to organise an outdoor net or trial if we need to."
